SCDE Bus Driver Training Class Schedule

The classroom training agenda fully combines SCDE and Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) elements across all four days of instruction. For this reason, individuals who already have a Class A or Class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements will need to complete the entire class.

In compliance with the ELDT required under 49 CFR Part 380, this training, coupled with the SCDE classroom curriculum, is intended to assist driver candidates with the written tests they will take at the DMV to obtain a Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP). Participants in this training MUST have a copy of the current SCDMV Commercial Driver’s Manual, which is available as a free download at https://www.scdmvonline.com/Forms-And-Manuals or which may be purchased at any SCDMV location.

Trainees will need access to a computer, tablet, or similar device and a reliable internet connection to participate in classroom training.
