    Welcome to the Moodle site for the South Carolina Department of Education, Office of Transportation

    This site serves as the platform for end-of-course testing for bus driver trainees and provides online professional development for bus drivers and SCDE School Bus Maintenance Shop employees.

    School district transportation administrators with questions about end-of-course testing or the bus driver online professional development courses should contact their assigned SC Department of Education Driver Training Coordinator.

    SCDE employees should contact their County Supervisor or the SCDE Training Coordinator if they have questions or problems accessing the courses.

    To take a course, please refer to the instructions provided by your supervisor.

    • Bus drivers can obtain the course enrollment codes from their school district transportation supervisor.
    • New users can get started by clicking on New Account Signup above.
    • Returning users can click on Login at the top of the page.
    SCDE School Bus Maintenance Shop employees will be provided course codes to access required training. Training should be completed as soon as possible once those codes have been received. Once an employee has completed a training course, they should print their certificate of completion and submit it to their Supervisor. Questions concerning training courses, general information, or enrollment should be sent to the SCDE Training Coordinator.

    *NHTSA In-service Safety Series can fulfil 6 hours of the in-service requirement

    Keep in mind that safety meetings, school bus evacuations, hands on training, online safe schools or similar modules also count towards in-service credits.
